This site is built on the Blogger platform, which is a free Google product available to those with a gmail address. Blogger and Google both serve cookies to track user behaviour, and are covered by Google's privacy policy A small pop up notice appears whenever anyone accesses the site. It reads:
"This site uses cookies from Google to deliver its services, to personalise ads and to analyse traffic. Information about your use of this site is shared with Google. By using this site, you agree to its use of cookies."
The email subscription form at the top right of any page invites you to enter your email address so that you will receive notifications if any new content has been added to the site. This emails are sent out once a day towards the evening. If there isn't any new content, you won't get an email. The aim of the functionality is to inform rather than pester.

Your email address is stored in Google's Feedburner system. This site doesn't, and will never, use it or share it for any other purpose.

Visitors to our site are able to add comments anonymously - although this does mean that all comments are pre-moderated (checked before they are published).

The North Mymms History Project doesn't require any other information from visitors. Our aim is to simply share with you the information we have uncovered about the history of North Mymms.

We hope you enjoy this site and find it useful, despite all the Google cookies flying around.
