Mimmshall Brook flooding 2000

The following is a selection of images of the flooding of Mimmshall Brook that took place in the early hours of Monday October 30, 2000. It followed weather conditions described as the worst to hit the south of England since the storms of 1987. The photo gallery and article below are taken from the news archive of the former Brookmans Park Newsletter. Also below is an article by the late Bob Horrocks when he writes about the flood alleviation work that was carried out in October 2002, and a piece written earlier that month about a local public meeting called to discuss the flooding.
