When the former North Mymms Local History Society was going strong, one of the members, Albert Thom, began a project to record the memories of some of the older residents of North Mymms.

As far as we know there were just five such recordings made. One of them, the memories of James Chuck who was born in 1903, has been published on this site. We are not sure whether any of the recordings survived.

Peter Kingsford wrote about the five interviews in an article published in the May 1988 issue of the Chancellor’s Community Newsletter, reproduced here with the permission of the publisher.
